Family physicians treat a variety of conditions including diabetes and heart disease and your annual stress test and often checking yearly for arthritis. Family physicians are also a great resource for physiotherapy and both sleeping and hypothyroidism . If you are suffering from male incontinence then consulting your family physician for a referral to a urologist might be the solution

It used to be common for people to “save up” their questions and concerns for an annual checkup with a physician. Many patients today choose to visit a primary care physician when they’re sick or are at a higher risk for developing a disease. Similarly, many medical experts have moved away from the yearly physical exam, instead recommending periodic health evaluations as needed. It’s like she makes it her mission to rush you out as soon as possible. Doesn’t listen, doesn’t take you seriously, and doesn’t explain why she refuses to treat any of your symptoms.

Denied me mental health services because, and I'm not kidding, I'm too young and tall and pretty, and my family is super nice (a judgement she made after meeting one of my family members for 15 minutes earlier that day) and apparently all of those things are a vaccination against mental illness. A year and a half later I had to return to her office because my anxiety had gotten so bad I couldn't go to school anymore, and a visit to the clinic had ruled out any physical causes for my symptoms. They told me to see my family doctor for treatment, which I did reluctantly because I needed treatment right away and there wasn't really time to switch family doctors. After quickly looking through my file and seeing that she had denied me help for this issue over a year ago, Mehta couldn't even look me in the eyes when she asked if I was comfortable taking a pill for my anxiety. I said yes, I was open to any treatment options just like I had been open to anything a year and a half prior. She wrote me a prescriptions and hurried out without owning up to or apologizing for her negligence. She is hands down the worst, most apathetic doctor I've had the misfortune of crossing paths with.
